FOLLOW-UP: AKSHAN!! WHAT'S HE UP TO?

His music is like liquid love for your body that fills it with rhythmic pleasure

I had a chance to do a followup interview with music artist Akshan. The first time I spoke with him I was immediately hypnotized by his star quality, his ambition and professionalism. What impressed me the most about his music then and now, is his creative and innovative music versatility. What impressed me about the artist himself is his passion for his music.

The last time I had the chance to speak with Hip Hop Fusion music artist Akshan he was in the process of creating a music video for his hot new signal “Jealous Type.” Although a music video was created for Jealous Type, he is still in the process of putting a creative team together that can produce a video that represents the song. You can view the current music video for Jealous Type below.

Currently Akshan in the studio working on completing his new album as well as, deciding what the next single will be from his album. I had the opportunity to hear some of the songs from his album and there’s one that will send electricity through your body and make you want to move it, move it. The single “ I Wonder” has a Rock n Roll flavor that is smoking hot, you can vote for this song or find one of your own favorites to vote for at http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/song_details/1468938. If you live in the DC or Maryland area you can see him perform live at local venues, log on to http://akshanmusic.com for his next event.

Neo-Soul Artist: D-MILLZ

GO FOR THE STARS

Why is it that a person can be given a gift for a special occasion or a birthday and that gift is not set aside or ignored it’s opened right away. However, when a person is given a gift that comes from inside of them, many do not pursue theirs and sadly some do not even recognize their gift. This is not the case for musical artist D-Millz, he began his musical journey at the age of 4 and by the time he was a teen he knew that music was his gift. While perusing his music degree in college thats when he knew that he wanted to performing and create music.

His music has been influence by some of the great music icons such as Donny Hathaway, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins and James Brown just to name a few. What he appreciates about their music, in his own words “they made feel good music” and if you listen to his new single “Tell Me More” this song will make you feel good. His music inspiration derives from his life experiences and is captured in his songs.

Have you ever listen to a song that makes you move each time you hear it and the lyrics are so “Real.” As you jam to the music you find yourself being hypnotized by the lead and the background singer as they sing in perfect harmony. As the song continues to play, the vocal ranges of lead and the background singer interchange from high’s to lows making you crave more. If you haven't had a chance to experience that type of music sensation, you can now with “Tell Me More” the sexy smooth new single from artist D-Millz. The wow ingredient for “Tell Me More” is, D-Millz singing not just the lead vocal but also the background vocals.

To be at your best one needs to refuel both mentally and physically. For D-Millz that’s roller-skating at least three to four times a week. He’s been roller-skating for the last 14-15 years, this is his stress release and helps him to focus.

“Live for the moment and let the music feel you out”, those are the words of musical artist D-Millz when he performs. If you live in the Chicago area you may have seen him perform at The Rockbox, the Riverdale Marina and 63rd & Haze as well as, Church. Although performing can be challenging D-Millz has the talent and star quality to tackle those challenges. Currently he working on his album and when that’s completed in his own words “ Go for the stars” in-fact he’s in the process of looking for someone to help with a music video for “Tell Me More.”
